1. Procurement Planning
  1. Work in close consultation with CFO and Head of Departments and plan the budgetary requirements for the business line annually as well as quarterly, so as to optimise cost and reducing lead time.
  2. Identify areas for possible savings and develop an annual cost reduction plan for all procurement activities
2. Vendor/Contractor Development & Management
  1. Prepare Vendor/Contractor Master and prepare vendor development plans factoring all related costs to gain overall cost advantage
  2. Monitor and analyse trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future
  3. Develops and enforces supplier / vendor guidelines and service level agreements for the organization.
  4. Identify preferred suppliers/ vendors and enters into partnership with them for overall cost optimization
3. Other Activities
  1. Ensure hard negotiation and best terms with each supplier/contractor every time a PO / WO is to be issued
  2. Ensure that the Comparative Sheet and the Approval Sheet contains all necessary details and remarks/justification of the Procurement Team
  3. Ensure all set procedure are followed and deviation, if any is reported to the Reporting Head and the CEO.
  4. Drive the process of comparing prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers based on availability, quality and cost
  5. Ensures maintenance of records associated with inventory tracking, ordering / re-ordering, and budget tracking as per company norms/procedures
  6. Ensure all inactive POs and WOs are foreclosed, in consultation with the respective HODs.

Looking for suitable experienced Electrical Engineering professional with minimum 16-18 years of work experience with hands on experience of managing complete 24 x7 water Utlity for water works in a Municipal and Industrial set up. THIS IS A DEPARTMENT HEAD POSITION AND SENIOR MIDDLE LEVEL.
      The waterworks at Haldia is 50 MGD plant and having over 200 Km of pipe line network for managing and supply of water to all, Industries and Municipality and Vital Installations, Port, Coast Guard, Oil Refinery, Power Plant etc.

      Job descriptions:

      1. Responsible for implementing preventive maintenance of electrical components such as Motors, panels, breakers, transformers, etc., all electrical components in all plants, as per daily, weekly and monthly maintenance program through IEL staff and operating staff. Ensure monthly reporting of PM program.
      2. Responsible for ensuring scheduled maintenance of all Power transformer on quarterly basis
      3. Responsible for contributing to the company goal of supplying revenue water to customers up to 30MGD per day excluding losses.
      4. Responsible for monitoring pump log book of operations, consumables consumption on daily basis.
      5. Responsible for scheduling of supply hours and pump operations in coordination with plant in-charge.
      6. Ensure zero breakdown in the plant within 4 months in old WTP and New WTP, with in 6 moths in Chaitanyapur and Basudevpur.
      7. Responsible for implementing CAPA, SOPs etc.
      8. Responsible for achieving 0.99 power factor in all pumping stations
      9. Responsible for improving the efficiency of the pumping machinery system and reduce the power consumption by 5% in next 6 months.
      10. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues, preserve electrical equipment’s in operating conditions by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, corrective actions and ensure always 50% stand by.
      11. Complies with codes by adhering to requirements; advising senior management on needed actions.
      12. Maintains supplies inventory by checking electrical material stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing the request for electrical material.
      13. Responsible for coordinating with service vendors to complete the job intime, certifying the repair works, replacement works as per the prescribed specification in the work order in the prescribed format and communicate to plant head.
      14. Responsible to provide specification of materials required for repair, replacements etc., in coordination with operational in-charge.
      15. Monitoring and guide operators as per their roster and ensure smooth operations.

          Key Job descriptions:

          1. Overall responsibility for network management and valve management of entire 180 kms, and responsibility of operate and maintenance of pipe line, valves, bulk meters and customers meters.

          2. Ensure Water supply to all the customers as per their demand to achieve minimum Rs 6.00cr revenue/month.

          3. Responsibility of monitoring supply of water from booster pumps to all the customers.

          4. Responsible for Achieving NRW less than 10% with in next 3 months.

          5. Responsible for ensure calibration of all the customer meters (above 50mm).

          6. Responsible for installing meters for all the unauthorized connections taking water from HWSPL in coordination with Commercial.

          7. Coordinate with WTP team to ensure required volume of water to booster pumps to ensure customer demand.

          8. Establish water balance from WTP to booster pump stations to customers.

          9. Create Hydraulic model of bulk supply pipe line for the projected period of Year 2035.

          10. Responsible to Ensure FRC as per contract requirement at booster pumping stations.
